Three new ball fields were re-designed by our firm to increase availability for league play. The city wide little league was expanding in numbers of players and games played in their season. Robert Mowat Associates were retained to add a new league play field and seating and renovate two other existing fields. One new field was created as a raised amphitheatre styled seating area. This newly mounded area also formed a visual screen for the homes across the street. The mounding, shrub and tree planting helped remove neighbor objections of noise, sightlines and foul balls. Pink colored concrete seating provides a durable and dramatic backdrop to the ball field. Two existing fields within the park were renovated with new drainage systems, irrigation, lighting and durable turf varieties. These three new fields now allow league play to occur without schedule conflicts year round.
