A residential development land planned by Robert Mowat Associates is nestled among a grove of native Oaks and a seasonal wetland. Sensitive vegetation and wetlands were preserved. The plan includes the development of large open spaces devoted entirely to native California plantings and habitat restoration. Natural waterways and aquifer recharging concepts were integrated into the land plan throughout the community. RMA developed the land plan with specific landscape designs attenuating drainage and rain water flows within the site. Plantings were chosen for low water requirements, periodic rain inundations, seasonal showing of color and low maintenance requirements. A selection of California natives and carefully chosen low water consuming exotics enhance the natural environment at Twin Oaks.
