One half mile from the S.F. Bay shoreline is a 44 acre gated community for 357 homes. RMA designed all of the site amenities including a 1 acre park, 15 streetscapes, 3 model complexes and a ½ mile regional trail. A city identity fountain was designed that also serves as a portal monument to the community. Adjoining hiking and bike trails utilize California native plantings. The entry drive includes colorful plantings, signage, lighting, planters and 72 hand picked Queen Palms. The site experiences salt water intrusion from the bay, yet the community’s landscape has been flourishing for 20 years. 357 individual front yard landscape were designed by the firm. A regional plant palette respecting the strong bay influence insures continued success.
