On 80 acres in Cupertino, this community encompasses 407 homes and 22 acres of common open space landscape. RMA designed all of the open spaces, including community gardens, 2 miles of walkways, ornamental orchards, three playgrounds, two sales complexes and a ½ mile section of public streetscape. Front yard landscapes for 407 homes were designed utilizing colorful shrubs and ground covers. Strong street tree silhouettes form a clearly identifiable streetscape within the community. Entry walls, monumentation and signage designed by the firm identify the entries. Ornamental orchards of Cherry, Pears, Plums and Crab Apples create an agricultural identity within the community. A central recreation center and soccer field complete the landscape amenities.
