A 40 acre land tract adjoining an existing 50 acre golf course was slated for future development by the City of San Jose’s General Plan. Robert Mowat Associates were hired to perform land planning services for the 40 acre site while showing a potential development scenario on the adjoining site to illustrate connectivity and development symbiosis. RMA designed a land plan that utilized two single family product types of 6000 and 4500 square foot lots along with an attached townhouse project. A large community park was designed central to the homes and two smaller pocket parks were included to meet open space and recreational goals from the City. RMA designed the adjoining property by using a condo and townhouse scenario developed by the firm. The site plan was subsequently endorsed by the City of San Jose and the project was sold to a large homebuilder and built out.
