This residence located amongst fruit orchards is located in the temperate climate of the Middle East. Hot summers are offset by one foot of snow in the winter. Tall shade tree windbreaks line the property. This family home is currently being remodeled with a modern and contemporary expression reflecting the owners’ intention for display of locally made luxury contemporary furnishings. Robert Mowat Associates were retained to design the outdoor spaces with a contemporary complement to the architecture and interiors. Our firm designed highly simplified spaces that are both usable and sculptural. Minimalist forms were used in both concept and detailing of the various landscape elements. Arbors, fountains, trellises and walls reflect a clean and modernist complement to the architecture and designed spaces. These outdoor elements will be handcrafted locally while respecting the clean, modernist designs.
